Key Performance Areas:

  1. 1. Role Summary
    Responsible for the mechanical upkeep, performance, reliability, and preventive maintenance of all hydraulic, pneumatic, rotating equipment, and utility machinery in the plant while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
     
    2. Key Responsibilities
    A. Breakdown & Preventive Maintenance
    · Attend mechanical breakdowns for:
    o Hydraulic & pneumatic bowl mixers
    o Hydraulic & pneumatic moulding machines
    o Pneumatic labelling machines
    o Rotary tables, Mix weigh feeders, Conveyors, Bucket Elevators
    o Utility systems: screw chiller, AHUs, Air compressor with dryer
    o Pumps, blowers, conveyors, valves, RO plant & STP plant.
    o EOT crane, Forklifts and BOPTs, Dock Levelers etc.
     
    · Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits, pneumatic circuits, cylinders, pumps, solenoid valves, gearboxes, bearings, belts, conveyors, bucket elevators, blower fans and mechanical structural issues.
    · Schedule and execute lubrication plans, alignment checks, vibration checks, and equipment overhauls.
    · Ensure sustained mechanical performance of tunnel ovens, material-handling equipment, and silo mechanisms.

B. Documentation & Compliance
· Prepare PM schedules, daily activity reports, breakdown analysis, and spares consumption logs as per ISO 9001:2015.
· Maintain equipment history cards, mechanical drawings, and SOPs.
· Monitor spare parts inventory and raise indents proactively.
C. Safety & Compliance
· Ensure proper maintenance of guards, interlocks, safety valves, and load-handling equipment.
· Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective measures.
· Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety and statutory guidelines.
3. Required Skills
· Strong knowledge of mechanical systems: hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating equipment, pumps, blowers, conveyors.
· Ability to interpret mechanical drawings & P&IDs.
· Experience with chiller systems, air compressors, and mechanical utilities.
· Troubleshooting of actuators, cylinders, valves, and mechanical alignments.
· Basic understanding of PLC interface points related to mechanical components.
4. Qualifications & Experience
· Diploma / B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
· 2–5 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
· Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems and utilities is essential.
· Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 documentation and maintenance processes.
