Key Performance Areas:

Role Summary

Responsible for ensuring smooth electrical operation, reliability, and safety of all electrically-driven and PLC/SCADA-based machinery in the plant. The engineer will handle breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, and documentation as per ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Breakdown & Preventive Maintenance
  • Attend electrical breakdowns of the following equipment:
    • PLC-controlled hydraulic & pneumatic bowl mixers
    • PLC-controlled molding machines
    • PLC-controlled pneumatic labelling machines
    • PLC-operated tunnel ovens (temperature-controlled)
    • SCADA-operated RM silos
    • EOT Cranes, Conveyors, Mix weigh feeders, Bucket Elevators
    • Electric Forklifts, BOPTs., Dock Levellers
    • Utilities: Screw chillers/AHUs, Air Compressor with dryer, RO plant, STP.
  • Diagnose issues related to motors, drives, sensors, PLC I/O modules, control panels, SCADA communication, instrumentation, heaters & temperature controllers.
  • Execute preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical, automation, and instrumentation components.
  • Maintain electrical load balancing, monitoring of power quality, and upkeep of power distribution systems-MV panel, ACB, VCB operations.

  1. Documentation & Compliance
  • Prepare PM checklists, breakdown reports, calibration records, and corrective action logs as per ISO 9001:2015 norms.
  • Maintain history cards and MTTR/MTBF records.
  • Update PLC/SCADA panel drawings, cable schedules, and panel layouts.
  1. Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations and factory electrical standards.
  • Conduct routine inspection of electrical panels, earthing, and protective devices.
  • Report any potential hazards and implement risk mitigation.
  1. Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens/Allen Bradley/Delta — as applicable).
  • Hands-on experience with VFDs, contactors, relays, sensors, solenoid valves.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and CAE software diagrams.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flow, proximity sensors).
  • Troubleshooting of SCADA communication and industrial networks (Ethernet/Profinet/Modbus).

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • 5–10 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance (preferably in semi-automated or process industries).
  • Preferably Electrical C-License Holder.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 documentation requirements.
